Bay FC returned to PayPal Park with a bang on Saturday. Playing their first home match in nearly two months, Karlie Lema scored two goals in a span of 145 seconds – but who’s counting? – to help lift the squad to a 3-0 win over the North Carolina Courage.
Lema’s brace – the first for a Bay FC player since Racheal Kundananji’s two-goal performance on Nov. 2, 2024 – earned her a nomination for the NWSL Player of the Week Award.

Saturday marked the third straight match in which Lema has scored, tying the club record set by Penelope Hocking for most consecutive matches with a goal scored. Lema now leads the team with four goals this season, with all of her scores coming in the last three outings.
