Bay Football Club was founded in 1974 with the aim to provide soccer football for children in the Bay Estate area of Dundalk. The Club has grown over the years and our current headquarters are on the Rock Road, on the eastern edge of Dundalk Town.
The Club caters for children from the ages of 6 to 16 years and also seeks to enter teams in Dundalk Junior League senior level. Most of our players come from the areas of Bay Estate, Red Barns Road, Rock Road, and Lower Avenue Road in Dundalk, Co. Louth. Currently we have about 100 children registered with us.
The Club enters teams in competitions (league and cup), run by Dundalk Schoolboys League, under the name Bay United, Bay Celtic, and Bay Olympic, depending on the number of teams we have in each age group. All our competitive teams are also entered annually in the National Cup competitions run by the Schoolboys Football Association of Ireland (SFAI). We also enter teams in the Mini-Seven-a-Side games run by Dundalk Schoolboys League during the summer months. These games cater for children from 6 to 10 years and allow them improve their skills without the pressure of competition. The Club has ambitious development plans and you can find out more about them and how you might help by visiting the Development Plans page.
For information on joining one of our teams visit the teams pages where you will find further details on all the age groups that we cater for. New members are always welcome so don’t miss out on the fun. Adult members are also welcome and are needed to maintain our ability to cater for our growing number of young players.
