This was a tough reintroduction for Bay FC back into Summer League. Carlingford, who played in last seasons premier league, showed the experience they gained from that by dominating the game from early on. Playing with a strong wind they moved the ball around and quickly asserted their dominance taking an early lead. Bay seemed to steady the ship but this was short lived and the half went Carlingfords way finishing 5-0 to the visitors. The second half started much more brightly for Bay, now playing with the wind. Liam Neary scored with a floated free kick that caught in the wind to deceive the keeper. Brendan McKenna rattled the cross bar with an effort and Paul Minford shot narrowly wide. In the end Carlingford came back to close the game out and finish 8:1 winners.
