Notes and Numbers: Bay FC vs Seattle Reign FC

As Bay FC gets set to visit Seattle Reign FC on Friday, take note of a few facts and figures to prepare for the match.

Head-to-Head
Bay FC is unbeaten in three all-time meetings with Seattle, recording a pair of wins in the 2024 season before playing to a 1-1 draw in April this year. Seattle is one of three NWSL teams (North Carolina, Racing Louisville) that Bay FC has never lost to.

Road Runners
Bay FC extended its run of consecutive road matches with a goal to nine after scoring at Portland on Saturday and now has found the net in 24 of its 26 away matches in all competitions. Bay FC’s nine straight away matches with a goal is the longest active streak in the NWSL.

Beware: Malonson Territory
Bay FC defender Alyssa Malonson made nine interceptions against Portland on Saturday, the most by any player in a regular season match since Sarah Woldmoe made nine for Chicago against North Carolina in August 2021. Malonson’s 52 interceptions this season are second only to Racing Louisville’s Taylor Flint (67).

2,993 … And Counting
Defender Caprice Dydasco is on pace to become Bay FC’s first Ironwoman, having played every minute of every match this season. She has started and played the full 90 in the past 33 matches. Including the 23 minutes she played prior to her start streak, Dydasco has played 2,993 consecutive minutes for Bay FC.

Seattle Shuts Out
Seattle’s scoreless draw at Gotham FC on Sunday was its seventh clean sheet of the season and third in its last six games. The Reign haven’t managed to keep clean sheets in consecutive regular season matches since the start of the 2024 season.

No Shots, No Problem?
Seattle attempted one shot in its draw with Gotham FC on Sunday, equaling the fewest in a match in club history (1 vs. Western New York in July 2015). It marked the fifth time this season that the Reign attempted five shots or fewer in a match with the club going unbeaten in those five matches (W3 D2 L0).
