Join Us for Inspiring the Players of Tomorrow, presented by Visa, on September 20th

Bay FC’s upcoming home match against Orlando Pride on September 20th is set to be an unforgettable night, packed with excitement, inspiration, and community spirit. Thanks to our Founding Partner, Visa, this evening will go beyond the pitch, celebrating the young athletes who represent the future of soccer and the remarkable efforts of those who nurture their dreams.

Inspiring the Players of Tomorrow

The theme for the night, “Inspiring the Players of Tomorrow,” captures the essence of what Visa and Bay FC aim to achieve through this event and our partnership overall. It’s not just about the game; it’s about impacting the community, inspiring youth, and supporting the next generation of soccer stars by creating more equity and access for all.

Before the Match: Soccer Without Borders Clinic

Bay FC and Visa will host a special clinic on September 18th in Oakland with Soccer Without Borders, an incredible organization dedicated to using soccer as a vehicle for positive change. This clinic will feature appearances from Bay FC players who will be on the pitch to share their skills and experiences with 50 young participants. Thanks to Visa, each attendee will receive a Bay FC gift bag filled with gear and personal care items, along with donated equipment like soccer balls, cleats, sports bras, and nets. Participants will receive inspirational notes written by Bay FC players encouraging them to keep taking small steps toward their goals.

Matchday: Youth and Fan Engagement

When matchday arrives, the focus will be on engaging experiences for youth players and fans. Thanks to Visa, Bay FC will donate 500 tickets to young players and their guardians. One lucky kid selected by Bay FC will be an honorary “captain” for the match, leading the team out onto the field, taking a picture on the pitch with the Bay FC Starting XI, and experiencing a night they’ll never forget.

Fans are encouraged to join in on the celebration. The first 5,000 attendees through the gates will receive a pack of Bay FC player cards featuring photos of our stars when they were young players themselves—a keepsake highlighting their journeys from aspiring youth to professional soccer player. At FanFest, there will be a Bay FC player photo wall, where supporters can snap pictures with life-sized images of their favorite players.

Beyond the Match: Impacting Access in Youth Girls* Soccer

A key pillar of Visa and Bay FC’s long-term partnership is impacting access and equity for all in Bay Area youth girls soccer. We have begun research to identify the systemic challenges and how we can help create solutions for our community – stay tuned for more on those initiatives in the future.

One area we know is critical for girls to keep playing is female representation across the youth soccer system, especially female coaches. In the future, we will be sharing more information, opportunities, and support for women who are interested in coaching and those already in coaching and leadership roles.

Be There for an Inspiring Night

Visa’s Entitlement Night on September 20th is more than just a match; it’s a celebration of community, empowerment, and the impact this sport can have on the next generation. We invite you to join us at PayPal Park to cheer on Bay FC, support the future stars of soccer, and take part in an evening filled with inspiration and excitement.
