Jen Beattie is Back at PayPal Park
Jen Beattie returns to PayPal Park this weekend and will be signing autographs during FanFest. After a decorated 18-year career that spanned four countries, 14 trophies and stints with some of the world’s top clubs, Beattie announced her retirement from professional football in January. She spent her final season on the pitch with Bay FC, proudly serving as part of the club’s inaugural roster. Last year, she was honored with the Lauren Holiday Impact Award for her contributions on and off the field.

Top NWSL players at PayPal Park
Our international players are back and ready for Bay FC’s match against Houston Dash! Racheal Kundananji and Asisat Oshoala returned from international break after joining their respective national team squads for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in July.
Asisat Oshoala helped guide Nigeria through a competitive tournament run. She appeared in four matches and scored one goal during the group stage against Tunisia. Nigeria went on to win the title after defeating Morocco in the final.
Racheal Kundananji was a standout performer for Zambia. She scored in each of her three group stage matches including their match against Morocco on July 5, Senegal on July 9 and DR Congo on July 12.
Houston will bring plenty of talent to the pitch, including Yazmeen Ryan, who has recorded one goal and one assist so far this 2025 NWSL season. In 2024, she earned a spot on the NWSL Best XI Second Team after finishing with five goals and six assists. Ryan made an immediate impact in her rookie season with Portland Thorns FC by helping her team win both the NWSL Shield and the Women’s International Champions Cup.
Houston Dash’s goalkeeper Jane Campbell was named NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year in 2023 after a stellar season where she led Houston to one of the best defensive campaigns in league history. In 2024, she featured in every match but one and played the full 90 minutes in each of her appearances. She has 10 caps for the US Women’s National Team and is a 2021 Olympic Bronze Medalist.
