Looking Ahead to the 2026 NWSL Season with Bay FC

While we look back on 2025, Bay FC is busy preparing for the 2026 NWSL season with a renewed goal to give Bay Area fans even more to cheer about at PayPal Park. The club is focused on taking lessons from past seasons to deliver a higher level of play for fans. Anticipation is already building for the official NWSL schedule release and the chance to welcome the community back to San Jose.

Here is what some of the Bay FC players are looking forward to in 2026.

Bay FC Forward Penelope Hocking

“I think I’m most looking forward to our returning players. I’m really looking forward to, you know, continuing to build that team culture with them. I’m just excited to come in motivated and positive—and I think everyone is.”

Bay FC Defender Maddie Moreau

“Winning. We forgot what that kind of feels like a little bit. So, I think that’s what I’m most excited about: having some results that we’re just so pumped about, scoring goals, and living in the joy of it—because we’ve gotten a lot of the other side of sports. I think we’ve earned some good times together.”

Bay FC Midfielder Tess Boade

“I’m most excited for just where this club’s heading in 2026. I think it’ll be a really fun year. I’m looking forward to putting all the pieces together and getting things right on the field and off the field, and bringing some W’s to PayPal Park.”

Bay FC Defender Abby Dahlkemper

“Next year, I am most looking forward to becoming a mom. I think that’s really special. Officially becoming a mom and having that title, I think, is just the best job in the world. I’m also looking forward to my return to playing soccer and being a mom, and balancing those two things.”

Bay FC Defender Caprice Dydasco

“I’m excited to show the league and Bay Area that we’re going to bounce back from this season. We’ve learned so much. We’re going to grow, we’re going to give them what they deserve, we’re going to come back even stronger, and we’re going to get to the playoffs next year.”
