Bay FC continues its aggressive off-season momentum with their new signing Alex Pfeiffer. The 18-year-old forward joins the Bay Area after a historic tenure with Kansas City Current and already brings a high-level of competitive maturity at such a young age.
What can Bay FC fans expect from the forward out of St. Lous, Montana? Here’s the breakdown:
- The NWSL’s Youngest Goalscorer
As soon as Pfeiffer entered the league, she rewrote NWSL history. At 16 years and 4 months old, she became the youngest goalscorer in NWSL history, finding the back of the net in her very first professional match against the Portland Thorns on March 16, 2024.
- NWSL Experience with Kansas City Current
Pfeiffer has been playing in a professional environment since signing her first contract in October 2023. Having spent two seasons within KC Current’s high-performing culture, she skips the traditional “rookie learning curve.” She has experience with the speed of play and professional habits required to compete at the highest level.
- A Collection of Trophies
Despite her youth, Pfieffer is a proven winner at every level she’s played. She arrives in the Bay as a 2025 NWSL Shield Winner and a 2024 NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup Champion. Her winning habits extend to the global stage, where she secured gold in the 2024 Concacaf U-17 Championship, the 2023 Mondial Montaigu Tournament and the 2022 Concacaf U-15 Championship.
- Resilient Comeback Story
Professional sports test a player’s character as much as their skill. After an impactful start in 2024, Pfeiffer’s rookie season was cut short by a season-ending injury. However, she proved her resilience with a successful return to the pitch in July 2025, appearing in five regular season matches.
Preparing for the upcoming 2026 NWSL Season
Pfeiffer’s addition to the Bay FC roster signals the club’s commitment to top-tier player development. With Pfeiffer linking up with explosive attackers like Racheal Kundananji, Penelope Hocking and Karlie Lema, Bay FC promises to have a deep frontiline for Bay Area fans to rally behind in 2026.
