Bay FC (9W-14L-1D; 28 pts) hosts North Carolina Courage (12W-9L-3D; 39 pts) at PayPal Park on Saturday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m. PDT for Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Contentstack.
In-stadium, Bay FC will be celebrating Fan Appreciation Night as part of the final home match of the inaugural 2024 season. The first 7,500 fans through the gates will receive an Inaugural Season Collector’s Series Poster, and 12,000 rally towels will be handed out at the stadium, both courtesy of Contentstack. Bay FC can officially clinch a spot in the playoffs this weekend with the following results:
- A Bay FC win and a Racing Louisville FC draw or loss, or
- A Bay FC draw and a Racing Louisville FC loss and Angel City FC draw
For fans who want to follow along, Racing Louisville FC faces Portland Thorns FC on Saturday, October 19 at 4:30 p.m. PDT and Angel City FC faces Utah Royals FC on Sunday, October 20 at 4:30 p.m. PDT. Regardless of whether other results go their way, a Bay FC win will keep the team in charge of their own playoff fate.
When Bay FC and North Carolina met for the first time earlier this season, it ended in a draw with Asisat Oshoala and Ashley Sanchez each scoring first-half goals for their sides. It was Bay’s first and only draw of the season. To push for a win, Bay FC will need to reignite their offense after being shut out last match against Kansas City Current.
