Typically, stars are placed on top of a club’s crest to represent the club’s championships. For our inaugural year, we wanted to play off of this tradition by honoring the champions of our club – co-owners and USWNT legends, Brandi Chastain, Aly Wagner, Danielle Slaton, and Leslie Osborne, by including four stars inside of our crest.
The shield is a timeless and traditional shape in sports, particularly in soccer. With this shape, we honor our love of the game, as well as the legends who came before us, as we continue their work pushing the limits of what is possible.
The center circle of the pitch is where the game begins, and this year is when we begin, kicking off our inaugural season as a top tier global franchise and the Bay Area’s first professional women’s sports team.
