Bay FC and Ross Stores, Inc. Expand Partnership Supporting Summer Reading Programs Across the Bay Area

Bay FC x Ross Dress for Less

Bay FC Players to Participate in Story Times at Local Libraries to Encourage Summer Reading

San Francisco (June 11, 2025) – Bay FC announced today that the club has expanded its partnership with Ross Stores, Inc. (“Ross”) to support summer reading and literacy programs for Bay Area Youth through the 2026 season. Throughout June and July, the club and Ross will connect with San Jose, Santa Clara, Oakland, and San Francisco public library systems to promote their respective summer reading programs. Bay FC players will visit the libraries to share their favorite stories, sign autographs, and take photos while sharing the importance of year-long learning.

“In 2024, Ross was a major part of our ability to impact communities across the Bay Area, something we’re pleased to have the opportunity to do so again this summer,” said Bay FC CEO Brady Stewart. “The Bay Area is our home, and providing opportunities for local youth to grow and develop sets up the future of our region for success.”

Bay FC will team up with Ross to host four “Story Times” at the San Jose, Santa Clara, San Francisco, and Oakland Public Libraries with Bay FC players to help promote their summer reading programs – key opportunities to support crucial learning for youth outside of school. The club will host a book drive at its July 19 friendly match vs. in-state rival Angel City FC, with all donations directly going to local library systems. All summer, students have the chance to win tickets to Bay FC matches through participating in the libraries’ summer reading programs and take home special co-branded Bay FC and Ross soccer stress balls to promote year-long learning. A full list of events and programming is available below and at BayFC.com/community/summer-reading-program/

“Ross is happy to continue our partnership with Bay FC to advance education and literacy for local youth,” said Leslie Oestreicher, Group Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability at Ross. “Supporting summer reading programs with libraries throughout the Bay Area is a great way for Ross to help keep kids engaged in learning while school is out.”
