Season 3 is here, and there’s no better place to be on Saturday, March 14, than PayPal Park. Bay FC is welcoming fans back to their Home Opener with some exciting new players to get to know and a full slate of pregame activities to make a day of it. Come early, stay late, and don’t miss a thing.

Players to Watch
The March 14 matchup against Denver Summit will be the first opportunity for fans to see the expansion side compete at PayPal Park. New signings on both sides add plenty of intrigue, and the home opener is the first chance to see how the competition will unfold.

Claire Hutton joins Bay FC from the Kansas City Current in one of the most significant intra-league transfers in NWSL history, valued at $1.1 million. A 2025 NWSL Best XI First Team selection, Hutton was also part of the 2025 NWSL Shield-winning side and the 2024 NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup.
Onyeka Gamero arrives on transfer from FC Barcelona, where she established herself as an exciting young forward before suffering a torn ACL. A two-time U.S. Soccer Young Player of the Year nominee, Gamero appeared in nine matches for Barcelona B after signing her first professional contract in June.
Kaleigh Kurtz, on the Denver Summit side, holds the NWSL record for consecutive starts and remains the only player in league history to complete four full seasons without missing a single minute. A 2024 NWSL Best XI First Team selection, her resume includes two NWSL Championships, three Shields, and two Challenge Cups.

FanFest: Come Ready to Play
FanFest is the official start of matchday. It’s a pregame celebration that brings the Bay Area community together two hours before kickoff. Fans can immerse themselves in an environment filled with games, food, and connection with thousands of fellow Bay FC supporters. FanFest welcomes lifelong fans and those attending their first match.

Performances and Ceremonies
Bay FC is welcoming back Zaza Benjamin to PayPal Park for the national anthem. She is a a 17-year-old recording artist from the Oakland School of the Arts. Benjamin is no stranger to big moments. She has previously performed for the NWSL, NBA, WNBA, and NFL, and appeared on The Voice.
Following the anthem, the club will recognize the MLVA 2016G Blue team, NorCal State Cup U10 Champions, as part of Bay FC’s ongoing youth club and community recognition program. It’s a reminder of what this club is building beyond the first team and why it matters.
Bay FC’s Founding Four will also be in attendance: Brandi Chastain, Leslie Osborne, Danielle Slaton, and Aly Wagner, the women whose vision made this club a reality. Their presence at the home opener is a full-circle moment every season.
Halftime: Christian and Scooby
Don’t leave your seats at halftime, because Christian and Scooby will be performing live on the PayPal Park field. This nationally acclaimed acrobatic duo is beloved throughout the professional and collegiate basketball world, having performed at NBA, WNBA, and college games for over 13 years. Their signature act combines impressive hand-balancing with canine tricks. Christian and Scooby’s talent has earned them national recognition, including a memorable appearance on America’s Got Talent.
