Bay FC met up with the San Francisco 49ers ahead of the 49ers’ January 17 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in Washington. Bay FC players gifted 49ers players jackets as a show of support across Bay Area sports and to get them fitted ahead of Bay FC’s third season in the NWSL.
Bay FC players Brooklyn Courtnall (defender) Joelle Anderson (midfielder) and Jordan Silkowitz (goalkeeper) were part of the exchange, presenting Bay FC jackets to 49ers players Kendrick Bourne and Eric Kendricks.
Eric Kendricks, a linebacker wearing number 43 for the San Francisco 49ers, is in his 11th NFL season and made an immediate impact after joining the team late in the 2025 season. Kendrick Bourne, a veteran wide receiver wearing number 84, is in his ninth NFL season. He originally joined the San Francisco 49ers, later signed with the New England Patriots, and returned to San Francisco in 2025.
Kendrick’s sister-in-law, Bay FC defender Brooklyn Courtnall, recently signed a contract extension with Bay FC through the 2028 season. The connections don’t stop there as Ally Kendricks (Courtnall’s older sister and Kendrick’s wife) also played college soccer with Bay FC defenders Abby Dahlkemper and Caprice Dydasco. The trio played on the UCLA Bruins women’s soccer team that won the 2013 national champion.
This is Bay Area sports at their finest. The region is woven together across every game and every team. Being in the Bay means showing up for each other, because every victory is ours to share.
