Playing in her first match back with Bay FC following a strong performance with the Zambian national team in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Kundananji made her presence felt right away in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with the Houston Dash. She consistently attacked the defense, put multiple shots on goal and assisted on the first goal of the match by Penelope Hocking.
Kundananji leads Bay FC with three assists this season and is second in the entire NWSL with 38 shots. In addition to her Player of the Week nomination, the 25-year-old is also nominated for the NSWL’s Assist of the Week. Vote here to help her win that award.
