Players to Watch: Bay FC

#8 Asisat Oshoala
Asisat Oshoala brings world-class pedigree to Bay FC’s attack. A six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year and veteran of multiple World Cups, Oshoala has made an immediate impact over her first two seasons in the NWSL. Whether she’s breaking behind the back line or pressing high to win the ball, her presence demands attention. Fresh off a WAFCON championship with Nigeria, she’s back with Bay to lead the front line with experience, poise, and lethal finishing ability.

#9 Racheal Kundananji
Racheal Kundananji adds explosive pace and power to Bay FC’s offense. A proven scorer on the international stage with Zambia, Kundananji is a constant threat to stretch defenses and create chances in transition. Her ability to turn the corner and beat defenders 1v1 makes her a nightmare to contain, and a perennial threat to go viral. Whether she’s finding space behind the back line or linking up in the final third, Kundananji’s direct style and finishing instincts give Bay FC a dangerous edge up top.

#13 Abby Dahlkemper
Abby Dahlkemper anchors the Bay FC back line with veteran composure and leadership. A 2019 World Cup champion with the U.S. Women’s National Team, Dahlkemper brings a calm, commanding presence to the center of defense. Her positioning, aerial ability, and communication help organize the back line, while her distribution out of the back adds value in buildup play. As one of Bay FC’s most experienced players, she provides stability, leadership and an ability to come through in game-deciding moments.
Players to Watch: Washington Spirit

#2 Trinity Rodman
Trinity Rodman continues to be one of the most electric players in the game. A constant threat in the final third, Rodman earned NWSL Best XI honors and was a league MVP finalist in 2024. Known for her pace, creativity, and relentless energy, she made an instant impact in her 2025 season debut — scoring a dramatic stoppage-time winner after recovering from injury. Whether she’s creating chances or finishing them, Rodman brings a game-changing presence every time she’s on the pitch.

#7 Croix Bethune
Croix Bethune has quickly become one of the league’s brightest stars. After a breakout 2024 campaign that saw her win NWSL Rookie of the Year and Olympic gold with the U.S. Women’s National Team, the dynamic midfielder is back and making an impact in 2025. Bethune made league history as the first rookie to record three assists in a single match and tied Tobin Heath’s single-season assist record in the process. Now healthy and back in form after a late-season injury, she remains a creative force and one of the most exciting players to watch in the NWSL.

#9 TAra Mckeown
Tara McKeown has quietly become one of the league’s most dependable defenders. A former forward turned center back, McKeown has embraced her role as the anchor of Washington’s back line. She played every minute of the 2024 season — including playoffs — and earned her first U.S. Women’s National Team call-up. Calm under pressure and strong in the air, McKeown combines positional awareness with leadership and poise, making her a cornerstone of the Spirit’s defensive identity.
