With the team back on the grass, and the NWSL schedule being announced, we feel the excitement towards the new season building. There has been a great vibe at pre pre-season training, and it was great to see the energy of players and staff at our first training session under new head coach Emma Coates. Everyone looked fresh, full of energy and eager to get back to business. In addition, it was great to watch our content team hard at work shooting a new brand campaign video, a pleasure to see the incredible work they do firsthand.
It was also great to spend time catching up with our very own legends Brandi Chastain and Leslie Osborne, two of our Founding Four, who have – together with Ali Wagner and Danielle Slaton – played such a pivotal role in laying the foundations of this incredible club. It strikes me every time how much we share and have in common, even though we grew up in very different parts of the world. We all talk the language and passion of women’s football: we share the same belief that we are creating something special here in the Bay Area and have a desire to contribute to a higher purpose for our game.
With every new signing, we’re building more than a roster – we’re building a future. Each player who pulls on the Bay FC crest brings talent, relentless ambition, and a belief in what this club can become. And we are just getting started. The players joining us now – and those still to come – are part of a long-term vision to create a team that doesn’t just chase for championships but competes for them year after year. Together with our fans, we’re laying the foundation for something lasting; a Bay FC team defined by excellence, resilience, and a standard that never wavers.
The countdown is on! March 14 at PayPal Park, a new chapter begins and the energy is building by the day. Our players are pushing boundaries and raising standards higher, and together with the team of staff we are laying the foundations in building a high-performance culture in which we can all thrive, and I have no doubt that our fans will be ready to make PayPal Park a fortress from the first whistle.
We’re almost there and connected by our love of this club and the crest that we are proud to wear, we can’t wait to take to the field together, standing side by side in pursuit of excellence. I look forward to seeing you all there! Be ready…
