It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for — Bay FC is ready to reveal the winners of the Fan T-Shirt Design Contest. After reviewing all of the submissions, we chose six finalists: three adult designs (ages 15+) and three youth designs (ages 14 and under). Fans then picked their favorite design from each category.
Without further ado, we’re excited to announce that the winning adult design is Design A created by Amanda and the winning youth design is Design F created by Ava.
From the club logo and stadium to merch and food, Amanda’s design features various images showing her Bay FC spirit. As a reminder, she had this to say: “My design is inspired by the iconic match day sights at every Bay FC home game, from pre-match fun (like food trucks and fireworks), mid-game necessities (snacks and jerseys), to the post-game scoreboard flashing ‘BAY FC WINS!!’ When the collage idea came to me, I grabbed a sticky note and scribbled down a list of as many unique elements as I could brainstorm. My favorite element is the view of PayPal Park as seen from Coleman Ave, a view that always signals that my long trek to San Jose is over and it is time for the party to begin.”
As for Ava’s design, it features a soccer ball with interconnected poppies, stems, and leaves as well as a nod to “The Bay.” Her inspiration was as such: “Ava came up with her design while kicking a Bay FC soccer ball against the wall and thinking about what she might put on a t-shirt. Obviously poppies and Bay FC go well together and so it only made sense to combine them.”
As the grand prize winners, both Amanda and Ava won five tickets to the Fan Appreciation Match on Nov. 1, five of their winning t‑shirts and a $100 Bay FC merchandise gift card. The remaining four finalists will receive a $50 Bay FC merchandise gift card.
