IndyCar driver Scott Dixon joined the Bay FC squad at training last week. Dixon races for Chip Ganassi Racing, also sponsored by Bay FC Founding Partner PNC Bank. Dixon shared his experience as a six-time Champion racer, answering the team’s questions on maintaining focus in high-stakes competitions, and maneuvering through intense G forces. Bay FC goalkeeper Lysianne Proulx even took Dixon on in some hand-eye coordination drills.

Bay FC Players Lysianne Proulx, Kayla Sharples, Rachel Hill, and Alex Loera then attended the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey IndyCar Race on Sunday. They got an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Chip Ganassi Racing Garage and access to the paddock and pit area, plus the chance to meet with Dixon before the big race!
