Bay FC is hosting the second in a summer series of “B You” youth soccer clinics on Thurs., June 20 from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. PDT at the San Francisco Recreation and Park Beach Chalet Athletic Fields. The clinic will feature Bay FC Goalkeepers Emmie Allen and Melissa Lowder.
Allen and Lowder will teach soccer skills and offer tips to young female athletes. Dr. Iris Kaddis, a pediatrician and Pediatrics department co-chair for Sutter’s Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group, will talk to the young women and their families about incorporating body positivity into their daily routine. In addition, Bay FC in partnership with Sutter Health, will award S.F. Vikings $5,000 to support their continued work in the community.
“B You,” a joint initiative with Bay FC and Sutter Health, is a community health and wellness initiative aiming to tackle prevalent barriers in sports that affect young women’s participation and wellbeing. These challenges will be addressed through local soccer clinics, community donations, a social content series, and education programs across the Bay Area.
