Match Preview: Bay FC vs. Orlando Pride | September 20, 2024  

Bay FC (8W-11L-1D; 25 pts) hosts first-place Orlando Pride (14W-0L-6D; 48 pts) on Friday, September 20 at 7:30 p.m. at PayPal Park presented by Visa. At the stadium, Visa will be celebrating “Inspiring the Players of Tomorrow” with special giveaways and activations. The match will be available locally on NBC Sports Bay Area+ and can be streamed in the U.S. on NWSL+.

#10 Marta 
A legendary forward and Brazilian international, Marta continues to make waves in her seventh season with Orlando Pride. With 27 goals in 84 appearances for the club, she’s also Brazil’s all-time leading scorer, boasting 119 international goals. Marta played in the Olympics in France this past summer, marking her record-breaking sixth appearance in the tournament, further cementing her legacy as a global football icon. 

#22 Barbra Banda 
A dynamic forward for both Orlando Pride and the Zambia national team, Barbra Banda is in a fierce race for the 2024 NWSL Golden Boot with 12 goals and 5 assists. Known for her lightning pace and scoring ability, she also represented Zambia in the 2024 Olympics alongside international teammate Racheal Kundananji.  

#9 Adriana 
Another standout Brazilian forward, Adriana has been an integral part of the Pride’s attacking unit. She also competed in the 2024 Olympics with Marta, showcasing her versatility and strength as a key offensive player for both club and country. She has five goals for the Pride this season, including braces against NJ/NY Gotham FC and Angel City FC.

#13 Abby Dahlkemper 
A stalwart in Bay FC’s defense, Abby Dahlkemper brings international experience from her time with the USWNT, most notably in their 1-0 victory over Brazil in the 2024 Concacaf Women’s Gold Cup. Since joining Bay FC, she has contributed both defensively and offensively, even scoring to help lift the team over Portland Thorns FC.  

#20 Alyssa Malonson 
A versatile player, Alyssa Malonson has been a constant threat for Bay FC on both ends of the pitch. Known for her pace, her runs down the flanks break through defensive lines, adding numbers to Bay FC’s attack. Her speed and energy are essential to Bay FC’s dynamic play. 

#8 Asisat Oshoala 
Bay FC’s leading goal scorer this season with five goals, Asisat Oshoala continues to shine after her successful stint with Barcelona. Her latest goal came this past weekend against the Courage, giving Bay FC an early advantage in the match. Oshoala’s finishing skills and positional awareness make her one of the most dangerous forwards in the league.

Last Matchup: Bay FC fell 1-0 on the road to Orlando Pride on the road at INTER&Co Stadium on May 11. The lone goal of the match was a penalty converted by Adriana.
