Bay FC is set to celebrate women’s empowerment with community events, FanFest activations, and more as the Club takes on Chicago Stars FC
SAN FRANCISCO (April 10, 2025) – Bay FC, the professional soccer franchise representing the Bay Area in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), will host Women’s Empowerment Night on Sunday, April 13, presented by Bay FC official partner Invisalign®. The club will square off against visiting Chicago Stars FC for a matinee kickoff at 4 p.m. PT at PayPal Park in San Jose.
Women’s Empowerment Night, presented by Bay FC Official partner Invisalign®, will celebrate women across the Bay Area with various activities, including:
- Pre-Match Inspiring Confidence with Bay FC & Invisalign® Event: Bay FC and Invisalign® are inviting local youth from the Boys & Girls Club of Silicon Valley Leaders in Training program to hear from Bay FC Co-Founder and U.S. Women’s National Team Legend Aly Wagner, Align Senior Vice President Global Brand, Consumer and Americas Marketing Kamal Bhandal, and Bay FC CEO Brady Stewart to showcase their journeys and motivate the next generation to stay involved in sports and confidently reach for their goals. In addition to the panel, youth participants will receive the opportunity to network with leaders from Bay FC and Align and receive a professional headshot. The teens will then have the opportunity to attend Bay FC’s match as part of Bay FC’s initiative to provide access to sport through memorable Match Day experiences for underserved communities in the Bay Area. This event is invite-only and not open to the public.
- Bucket Hat Gate Giveaway: The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a free co-branded Bay FC x Invisalign® bucket hat gate giveaway, presented by Invisalign®.
- Player Jersey Patches: Players will wear a special-edition jersey patch honoring an individual of their choice who has inspired them.
- FanFest: In the FanFest area, fans will be treated to various activities, including the best beats from Bay FC fan favorite DJ Bite Size and saxophonist, Lidia Rodriguez. In addition, there will be special performances featured on the FanFest stage to warm fans up for an afternoon of fun, including Women on the Move, an all-female dance group that specializes in breaking and waacking dance styles, Oakland native singer Mara Hruby and guitarist Jon Monahan, as well as the San Jose State Dance Team.
- Affirmation Garden: Fans are invited to select a flower, choose a reflective prompt, and write a personal affirmation or response on a tag. Each flower will be added to a growing installation on the FanFest stage creating a vibrant display of resilience, purpose, and shared voices in full bloom.
- Special Content Contributor and Match Day Host: Fans should keep their head on a swivel for former Bay FC Defender and current Content Contributor and Match Day Host Jen Beattie, who will be engaging with the most passionate individuals in attendance during FanFest.
- Bay FC Partner Activations: Bay FC’s corporate partners will be providing fans with the ultimate entertainment, including:
- The opportunity to take photos with and write on the Invisalign® Confidence Wall to earn a Bay FC x Invisalign® co-branded foam finger while supplies last
- Soccer darts with Sutter Health where fans can show off their accuracy skills to earn giveaways including Poppy Bay FC x Sutter Health co-branded socks and other items
- Spin to win cobranded stress balls and other giveaways with Meriwest Credit Union
- Fans 21 and older can sample both 21st Amendment Brewery beer and Pacific House Gin cocktails at designated spaces within the stadium
- National Anthem: The National Anthem will be performed by Oakland singer and songwriter Tyler Reese.
- Halftime Performance: A few randomly pre-selected fans will participate in a round of women’s soccer history trivia. Fans in the stands can also play along via the videoboard.
- Videoboard Content: Interactive FanCams will capture the content of Bay FC fans showcasing their confidence throughout the evening.
- Item of the Match: Fans will be able to purchase the Women’s Empowerment Theme T-shirt, retailing for $40.
