Jackie Brown is a Filipino/Jamaican American creative based in San Francisco, California. As a local Black artist, the Bay FC team wanted to incorporate Jackie’s perspective into a Juneteenth-inspired gate giveaway item presented by Sutter Health. She used the idea to expertly blend the Juneteenth flag with Bay FC and Angel City FC’s logos to pay homage to the holiday and the match. The item was crafted as a pennant with matchday information included to replicate the matchday pennant the Bay FC players displayed before their inaugural first match against Angel City FC.
