Honoring Juneteenth
Bay FC is proud to celebrate Juneteenth and honor the history of African American liberation in the United States. This match is a moment to recognize the ongoing contributions of African American leaders, artists, athletes and communities.
Juneteenth marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and reminds us of our continued work toward justice and equity. We are excited to gather at PayPal Park, create a space for reflection and celebrate Juneteenth with intention and joy!
Powerful Voices at Bay FC’s Match
FanFest will feature talented local African American performers.
Veotis Latchison: Latchison is a jazz musician, songwriter, producer and vocalist based in Oakland. His artistic expression is deeply influenced by a mix of hip-hop, R&B, soul and jazz.

Alva Wright: Wright will lead soul line dancing that welcomes fans of all ages to join in rhythm and movement.

MeloDious: Featuring members Micaiah and Memphis, MeloDious will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” This song, often called the Black National Anthem, expresses themes of faith, hope and the struggle for African American freedom in the face of adversity. It’s a powerful musical journey and an ever-present song in the fight for equality.

Dee Dee Simon: An Oakland-based singer and entertainer who also competed on America’s Got Talent. As a seasoned live-entertainer, Dee Dee Simon will deliver a captivating performance.

Savage Royalty Dance Company: A trendy, creative and competitive traveling youth dance group located in Oakland, California. The group specializes in hip-hop and majorette and will perform when Bay FC players arrive to PayPal Park.

Item of the Match: Juneteenth Shirt by Jackie Brown
For this match, Bay FC is releasing exclusive Juneteenth merchandise created by artist Jackie Brown. Jackie Brown is a Filipino/Jamaican American illustrator and graphic designer based in San Francisco, California. Bay FC wanted to incorporate Jackie’s perspective as a local Black artist into an item of the match celebrating and honoring Juneteenth. Her designs consist of various symbols celebrating Black joy, love and resilience within the Black community. See more of her work in Instagram!

- Sutter Health will have a 10ft soccer dart competition with giveaways like Poppy co-branded socks and other items.

Big Names in Soccer at PayPal Park
Bay FC’s match against Orlando Pride will feature some of the biggest names in global soccer.
Marta
As a forward for Orlando Pride and a 2024 NWSL Champion. She’s appeared in multiple World Cups, stood on Olympic podiums and earned countless accolades for club and country. She is one of the most decorated athletes in women’s sports.
Barbra Banda
Barbra Banda is a goal-scoring machine and was second in the Golden Boot race last year with 13 goals and six assists. She also added six assists and recorded four braces in the 2024 season, tying the single-season league record during the regular season. She represented Zambia at the 2024 Paris Olympics alongside Bay’s Racheal Kundananji.
Zambia’s Best Face Off
This match will also feature Kundananji. Bay FC’s forward and star for Zambia, squaring off against her fellow countrywoman. Kundananji has represented Zambia at the senior level since 2018 and was recently named to Zambia Women’s National team roster for a pair of friendlies during May and June.
Watching two of Zambia’s most elite, Kundananji and Banda, face off at PayPal Park is an exciting display of skill for football fans worldwide.
