Black History Month Spotlight: Danielle Slaton

In honor of Black History Month, we’re celebrating the career and legacy of one of our very own, Danielle Slaton. As a USWNT Legend and Owner of Bay FC, Danielle has made her mark on soccer in America and continues to inspire future generations.

Playing Career:

  • Silver medalist at 2000 Olympics
  • Bronze medalist in the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup

  • 2001 NCAA Scholar Athlete of the Year

Post-Playing Career

Since retirement from professional soccer, Danielle has been a Coach, Soccer Analyst, and now, Co-Owner of the Bay Area’s first NWSL Team, Bay FC.

Fun fact: you may find her voice familiar. She has called many MLS and World Cup games as an analyst for ESPN, FOX Sports, Apple TV and NBC Sports!

Community Impact

Danielle is also the SVP of Strategic Projects and Head of Foundation at Bay FC.

She spearheads long-term strategy projects for the team to drive forward the club’s mission and vision as well as its community initiatives.
