Bay FC hosted a youth soccer clinic in partnership with Founding Partner Visa to benefit members of local non-profit Soccer Without Borders earlier today at Oakland International High School. The clinic featured Bay FC Players Caprice Dydasco and Katelyn Rowland.
At the event, Bay FC players Caprice Dydasco and Katelyn Rowland taught soccer skills and offered tips to empower young female athletes, and one lucky participant was awarded with the “honorary captain” role for one of Bay FC’s upcoming home matches.
The community clinic aimed to further Bay FC and Visa’s joint goal to empower the next generation through community events, access to professional sporting events and players, and additional resources and technical skills for young athletes across the Bay Area. Thanks to Visa, Bay FC donated various equipment – including soccer balls, cleats, sports bras, and bow nets – to local nonprofit Soccer Without Borders and each participant received complimentary gift bag.
