Jen Beattie Returns to PayPal Park

From being on the inaugural roster to winning the Lauren Holiday Impact Award last season, Jen Beattie continues to impact the club.

The former defender announced her retirement from soccer January 21, 2025. Earlier this month Beattie was introduced as a Content Contributor and Match Day Host for Bay FC and made her return to PayPal Park for Women’s Empowerment Night, April 13.

“The things I’m most excited about are catching up with everyone and seeing the game from a different angle,” said Beattie as she shared her excitement about being back with the club. “For me, it’s so fun to come from a different angle, whether it’s at the fan fest or the long bar or back behind the scenes and seeing the amount of work that so many staff members do on a daily basis.”

Beattie was welcomed with open arms and big smiles at player arrivals, where she asked her former teammates and new Bay FC players what inspired their outfits.

After fit checks, Beattie continued creating content for the club’s social media channels. Before the match kicked off, she walked onto the pitch and waved at fans in attendance. Fans expressed how much they loved her as she was recognized for her career. Beattie wrapped up her first day with a post-match interview of midfielder Caroline Conti and her first National Women’s Soccer League goal. Beattie returns to PayPal Park May 17 when Bay FC faces Angel City FC at 7 p.m. PT. Fans can catch her at FanFest or around the stadium as she produces content for the club. For tickets and information visit BayFC.com.
