Match Experience Starts Before the Match 

Gates open two hours before kick-off, and fans will want to experience every minute of it. Women’s Empowerment Match at PayPal Park will feature FanFest entertainment and exclusive shopping at the Bay FC Team Store. The match experience starts well before the opening whistle, so come ready to take it all in.

FanFest and Live Entertainment: The Party Before the Party 

Volaré Studios — Before the match, the plaza comes alive with Volaré Studios. Founded by Marianela Calonje Amarante, Volaré is a vibrant creative hub in Santa Clara dedicated to dance, music, and culture. They focus on Salsa and Bachata and will bring their energy to PayPal Park.

Oakland-born artist Kamiyah — Kamiyah, a young female Oakland-born artist will bring her signature sound to the PayPal Park stage for a halftime performance. 

Honoring the CyberRays — 25th Anniversary Tribute 

Bay FC is proud to recognize the 25th anniversary of the Bay Area CyberRays, the first professional women’s soccer team in the Bay Area and the 2001 WUSA Founders Cup champions. Members of the championship team will be recognized on the pitch at halftime, celebrating those who paved the way for women’s soccer in this region.

Bay FC Player Spotlight: Alex Pfeiffer 

Alex Pfeiffer is fresh out of high school and already making her mark in the NWSL. She made her Bay FC debut at the Home Opener on March 14 as if she’d been playing professionally for years. 

Just eight minutes in, Pfeiffer carried a ricochet pass down the right flank and calmly slotted it into the left corner for her first goal with the club. At the half-hour mark, she picked out Joelle Anderson at the top of the penalty area to set up what proved to be the match-winning goal. The performance made Pfeiffer just the fourth player in club history to record multiple scoring contributions in a single match. 

A goal, an assist, a Player of the Week nomination for Week One, and a debut that announced herself to the entire league. Keep an eye on Pfeiffer on March 21. 

Know the Opponent: Angel City FC 

Bay FC and Angel City have built a compelling rivalry in women’s soccer, and it started from the very first match. The all-time record stands at 3 wins and 1 loss for Bay FC,  including the club’s historic first-ever win, scored against Angel City on March 17, 2024. Two more wins followed between 2024 and 2025, with a narrow 2-1 loss in September 2025 proving just how fierce this in-state rivalry has become. 

Watch out for forward Riley Tiernan, whose outstanding rookie season earned her a nomination for the 2025 NWSL Rookie of the Year award. Alongside her, defender Gisele Thompson made 29 appearances in 2025, led the club with four assists, and already holds four caps with the senior USWNT.
