Bay FC makes their first trip to the East Coast this week as they face the Washington Spirit at Audi Field on Saturday, March 23; kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. PT on ION.
Bay FC will be looking to build on the momentum of a shutout 1-0 victory in their season-opener on the road against Angel City FC as they travel to Washington, D.C. The defense will need to hold strong once more to contain Spirit forward Trinity Rodman, who is expected to make her 2024 debut on Saturday.
Midfielder Dorian Bailey returns to D.C. to take on her former team for the first time since joining Bay FC. Bailey won the NWSL Championship with the Spirit in 2021. Eyes will be on the defense and goalkeeper Lysianne Proulx after a stand-out NWSL debut, but look out for forward Asisat Oshoala, who scored the first-ever Bay FC goal against Angel City last weekend and will be hungry to add to her season tally.
