Uplifting Pride Through Song and Community Investment

Bay FC is kicking off Pride Month early with a direct investment in one of the region’s most enduring LGBTQ+ cultural institutions: the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus (SFGMC). Proceeds from this year’s 2026 Pride Collection will go directly to supporting the Chorus in its 48th season of building community and holding space for LGBTQ+ voices across the Bay Area and around the world.

Belonging in Motion

SFGMC describes the collaboration with Bay FC as “belonging in motion.” For their members, it’s visibility in a space that reaches audiences well outside the traditional world of art. For the Chorus as a whole, it connects music and sport in a way that celebrates resilience and shared identity.

The Bay Area is not one singular community, but many. Bay FC was built on the belief that it‘s diversity is its strength. Supporting organizations that have carried this work forward for decades is a core responsibility that the club does not take lightly, and this collection is one way Bay FC puts that commitment into action.

Resilience That Sparked a Chorus

SFGMC’s legacy of resilience dates back to the very beginning of the organization. In October 1978, following the assassinations of San Francisco Supervisor Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone, a group of men gathered on the steps of San Francisco City Hall and sang. That act of collective courage became the founding moment of the world’s first gay men’s chorus.

San Francisco needed a voice in that moment, and SFGMC has been that voice ever since. Today, the organization has grown to include 250 singing members, performing 12 major concerts and appearing at 35 community events across the Bay Area each year.

The Impact Off the Stage

Since 2018, SFGMC has reached 23,000 local students through its Reaching Youth Through Music (RHYTHM) program, meeting young people with music, community, and the message that they belong. The partnership also supports their continued work at The Chan National Queer Arts Center in San Francisco, the first dedicated community space for LGBTQ+ artists in the country.

The Collection and Pride Match

On Sunday, May 24, a percentage of in-person sales, and all online sales throughout the month of June, will support SFGMC. Bay FC’s 2026 Pride Collection includes:
