In partnership with Sutter Health, Bay FC hosted 200 girls and their parents for a day of learning, empowerment and soccer at Santa Clara University on Monday, July 27 – the latest in the joint “B You” community initiative aiming to tackle common barriers to improving community health and wellness.
With Sutter clinicians at the helm, this event included discussions about mental health, injury prevention, recovery, resilience and how parents can support daughters in youth sports and the everyday. The girls played games and joined discussions with a few players in attendance, like midfielder Tess Boade, defender Aldana Cometti, and forward Alex Pfeiffer, as well as Bay FC Co-Founder Leslie Osborne. Bay FC and Sutter Health will continue to support local athletes through sports, health education, and leadership training throughout the Bay Area.
