On Friday, June 26, Bay FC supported the Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games at Santa Clara University, the latest event in the Bay It Forward community impact program. Midfielder Caroline Conti and defender Emily Menges spent the afternoon interacting with participants and families, while also cheering on the San Jose Earthquakes and Sacramento Republic FC Unified Teams as they competed alongside Special Olympics athletes in an inspiring match.
Bay FC co-founder Danielle Slaton served as the keynote speaker during the Opening Ceremony, helping kick off Special Olympics Northern California’s largest annual competition, which brings together over 1,000 athletes and coaches, more than 1,200 volunteers, and countless families and supporters from across the region!
