Bay FC’s Malonson and Conti Don an Apron for La Cocina

For the second consecutive season, Bay FC and PNC are supporting local entrepreneurs through Goals for Grants, creating opportunities that extend far beyond matchday. Committing $1,000 per goal in the 2025 season, PNC donated $25,000 to support La Cocina in their mission to empower entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout the Bay Area.

Last week, defender Alyssa Malonson and midfielder Caroline Conti joined Karla Rosales-Barrios — La Cocina incubator participant and Pass the Sauced salsa company owner — to make Nicaraguan-style guacamole. Made with avocados, onions, and limes, this recipe was passed down from Karla’s grandfather in Nicaragua, where she visited on family vacations growing up. Cooking since she was 12, it’s no wonder Karla started her own salsa brand. She will soon graduate from La Cocina, which has been instrumental in helping her through their mentorship and entrepreneurial readiness programs in San Francisco and the East Bay.
