Anouk Denton and Onyeka Gamero at the Game On Clinic
On Thursday, June 18, Bay FC Forward Onyeka Gamero and Defender Anouk Denton volunteered their time at San José 26’s Game On Clinic at the East Valley Family YMCA, in partnership with the San Jose Sports Authority.
Game On, San Jose is a citywide youth sports and community engagement program from the San Jose Sports Authority that uses the excitement of major global sporting events coming to the region to inspire neighborhood youth, provide equitable sport access, and build life skills through athlete mentorship, physical activity, and tech-driven engagement.
The two Bay FC players interacted with about 65 local children, encouraging them through soccer activities, answering questions, and signing autographs – all to inspire the next generation of athletes. What a fun way to give back to the community during the summer of soccer!
