Bay FC traveled to Inter&Co Stadium in downtown Orlando, Florida on Friday, facing the Pride in what turned out to be a hard-fought road match. A brief weather delay pushed kickoff to 5:13 PM, but both sides came out sharp from the start.

Orlando’s Barbara Banda opened the scoring in the 4th minute, but Bay FC responded quickly — Caroline Conti pulled one back in the 7th, finishing from the right side of the box after a deflection. The match was level before most fans had settled in their seats.

Orlando regained control in the second half. Banda scored her second of the match, and Orlando’s Cori Dyke added a third in the 55th minute to put the game out of reach. The final score: 3-1 Orlando Pride.

Bay FC and the rest of the NWSL now pause for international break. The team returns to action July 5 at Boston Legacy.
