Bay FC goalkeeper Melissa Lowder to miss 2024 season with knee injury

San Francisco, Calif. (March 11, 2024) – Bay FC, the Bay Area’s new women’s professional soccer franchise in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), today announced that goalkeeper Melissa Lowder will miss the remainder of the 2024 season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her knee. Lowder will have surgery in the coming weeks to repair the injury and will conduct her rehabilitation with Bay FC sports medicine staff.
