Bay FC opens 2024 NWSL preseason Jan. 22

Bay FC to Participate in CVI Tournament, Announces Media Day and Preseason Schedule

Club to participate in Coachella Valley Invitational, host Media Day Jan. 22 in San Jose 

San Francisco (Jan. 4, 2024) Bay FC, the Bay Area’s new women’s professional soccer franchise in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), announced their full 2024 preseason schedule today, ahead of their inaugural NWSL campaign. As part of their 2024 preseason slate, Bay FC will visit Palm Springs for the Coachella Valley Invitational and host Media Day on Jan. 22 to kick off their 2024 campaign. 
 
Following Media Day, Bay FC will travel to Santa Barbara, Calif. from Jan. 23-Feb. 2 for their first part of training camp. The team will then return to San Jose and host their first training sessions in market from Feb. 3-18.
 
The team will close out preseason by taking part in the first ever Coachella Valley Invitational for NWSL teams from Feb. 19-24 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., alongside Angel City FC, Portland Thorns FC and San Diego Wave FC. Bay FC will square off against San Diego on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 12 p.m. (Pacific) before facing Angel City on Saturday, Feb. 24; kickoff is set for 1 p.m. (Pacific). The first annual invitational will be open to fans with passes on sale at www.CoachellaValleyInvitational.com.  
 
Bay FC will kick off its inaugural season in March 2024 at PayPal Park in San Jose. Ticket deposits are now open for Bay FC’s inaugural season and new merchandise can be purchased at BayFC.com. Fans can also follow @wearebayfc on social channels for more exciting announcements to come.
