SAN JOSE, Calif. (Aug. 19, 2026) – U.S. Soccer announced today that Bay FC midfielder Kennedy Fuller has been named to U-20 National Team Head Coach Vicky Jepson’s squad for the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland from Sept. 5-27. Fuller will join the squad following Bay FC’s match Sunday, Aug. 30 at the Washington Spirit as the U-20’s make a run at a global title.
Fuller’s call-up marks her first international call-up since joining Bay FC. The Southlake, Texas native has been a regular in the U.S. Youth ranks since 2022, helping the U-15’s to the 2022 Concacaf title, and the U-17’s to the 2024 Concacaf title and bronze at that year’s U-17 World Cup. She’s represented the U-20’s in training and friendlies throughout 2026, joining the squad most recently in June as it traveled to Spain for friendly action vs. European opposition.
Fuller has appeared in all eight matches for Bay FC since the June international break, debuting July 5 and logging 698 minutes. She tallied her first goal with the club July 10 at Racing Louisville FC, the opening tally in a 2-0 win on the road. Prior to joining Bay FC, Fuller recorded two goals and two assists in 11 matches with Angel City. Her selection to September’s tournament roster marks her first international call-up since joining Bay FC in June via transfer from Angel City FC.
The U.S. U-20’s have been drawn into Group D alongside Japan, New Zealand and Italy. The squad will open play Sept. 6 vs. Italy before taking on Japan Sept. 9, both in Łódź, Poland, before closing group play Sept. 12 vs. New Zealand in Sosnowiec. The four best third-placed teams from the six groups advance to the knockout stage, along with the six group winners and six runners-up. Every match of the tournament will be broadcast in English on the FOX family of networks.
Fuller is one of eight professional players named to the roster. The USA’s 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup team, which finished third in the world, also had eight professionals on the roster. Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2006, are age-eligible for the World Cup and the USA roster features nine players born in 2006, seven born in 2007 and five born in 2008. Fuller is one of six players on the roster to also represent the U.S. at the 2024 U-17 World Cup.
Bay FC returns home to PayPal Park this week, hosting the Houston Dash Sunday, Aug. 23 for the club’s Black Heritage match. The club will also celebrate its nominee for the 2026 Lauren Holiday Impact Award presented by Nationwide, midfielder Hannah Bebar, and the incredible community work of Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative.
