Pre-Match & Halftime | Don’t Miss a Moment
The festivities on Friday begin well before the first whistle. Arrive early at PayPal Park to be one of 5,000 fans who receive an exclusive Bay FC rope trimmed ball cap, presented by PNC Bank.
Before kickoff, Bay FC’s Bridge Moment will feature players from the Golden State Valkyries — a celebration of the Bay Area’s growing women’s sports community and a reminder of what the Bay Area region is building together.
The national anthem will be performed by Madison Lauren, an 11-year-old who won the Junior Music Category on Netflix’s Star Search.
At halftime, the Santa Clara University Dance Team takes the pitch for a performance that’ll keep the energy exactly where it needs to be heading into the second half.
What to Watch on the Pitch
Bay FC sits 10th in the NWSL table at 3W-1D-3L, while expansion side Boston Legacy FC comes in at 16th place with a 1W-2D-5L record. The match on Friday, May 15, marks Boston’s first-ever match at PayPal Park, and Bay will look to make a statement on its home turf.
On the visiting side, fans should keep an eye on midfielder Chloe Ricketts. She turned pro at just 15, became the first player to enter the NWSL through the Under-18 Entry Mechanism, and has already earned a U.S. U-20 National Team call-up. She plays beyond her years, and it has shown this season, with her club unbeaten in its last three matches.
On the home side, history is being made — twice over.
Racheal Kundananji will earn her 50th NWSL cap Friday night. Kundananji has been an impactful player for Bay FC since day one and recently became the franchise’s all-time leader in goals scored. Reaching 50 caps is a significant milestone, and there’s no better place to mark it than at PayPal Park.
Friday night is also a chance to celebrate Claire Hutton, who reached her 50th NWSL cap on March 28 in their recent match against North Carolina. Hutton joined Bay FC ahead of the 2026 season after time with Kansas City Current, and she’s made her presence felt in the midfield from the start.
