With one match left, it’s time to celebrate the fans who’ve cheered Bay FC on along the way at the Fan Appreciation Match presented by Visa at PayPal Park on Sunday, Nov. 1. Help Bay FC close the season on a high note in a game against another California club: San Diego Wave FC.
The fun starts with a gate giveaway for the first 10,000 fans. Then, at FanFest, fans can participate in a variety of games, activities, and giveaways, while also checking out the tasty food options from the trucks on site. Fans can also look forward to a digital scavenger hunt (with prizes!), a competition during halftime, and of course an exciting match.
Sunday: Hour by Hour
12:00 P.M. | GATES OPEN + FANFEST
The first 1,000 fans who enter the stadium will receive signed commemorative tickets* in our gate giveaway. During FanFest, fans can play games, participate in a digital scavenger hunt, enter giveaways, and eat delicious food from the food trucks.
1:10 P.M. | TEAM WARMUPS
Head to your seats to watch both clubs in pre-match drills on the pitch.
1:40 P.M. | PRE-MATCH CEREMONY
Before kickoff, Bay Area vocalist and songwriter Jessica Johnson will sing the national anthem.
2:00 P.M. | KICKOFF
The Bay FC vs. San Diego Wave FC match will commence.
Pre-Match & Halftime
When the gates open, fans can secure one of 1,000 signed commemorative tickets* in the gate giveaway. Moreover, fans can enjoy games, giveaways, a digital scavenger hunt, and food trucks during FanFest. The Bay Area’s own Jessica Johnson will perform the national anthem before the game starts, while there will be a fan competition on the pitch during halftime.
What to See on the Pitch
Bay FC earned a 2-2 draw with Portland Thorns FC on Oct. 18, at PayPal Park. Forward Karlie Lema assisted each of Bay’s scores, which midfielders Caroline Conti and Kennedy Fuller translated into goals. Portland would force the draw after converting a pair of Bay FC turnovers into scores – by Morgan Weaver in the 10th minute and Caiya Hanks with the 86th-minute equalizer. Then, on Saturday, Oct. 24, Bay FC fell 2-0 at Angel City FC at BMO Stadium in its final road match of 2026. After a scoreless deadlock through the first 45 minutes, a pair of goals by the hosts served as the only two of the match.
The two California teams last met in early May when Bay FC put in the first and only goal on the board at the fifth minute, holding that lead until the game ended 1-0 in Bay FC’s favor. Since then, San Diego is finding itself in the top of the league rankings with 5 wins and 1 draw, most recently. They’ve earned a spot in the playoffs for the fourth time in five seasons thanks to players like defender Mimi Van Zanten and midfielder Lia Godfrey, whose contracts were extended this month.
