SAN JOSE, Calif. (Sept. 18, 2026) – Bay FC closes out a busy week at home Sunday vs. Racing Louisville FC, returning to PayPal Park after back-to-back away contests. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. PT, and the match will broadcast on the Roku Channel as part of the NWSL’s Sunday Night Soccer schedule. Tickets remain available at BayFC.com/tickets.
Bay FC will look to build on a big comeback result mid-week at Denver Summit FC that earned the club a needed point. With the final stretch of the NWSL season approaching, every match is big for the club as it aims for a surge up the standings. Just six matches remain in the regular season.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Bay FC midfielder Taylor Huff: Huff has hit a groove in recent weeks and was rewarded Wednesday with a goal and assist. Her performance made her the fifth Bay FC player to tally multiple scoring contributions in a single match this season and had Summit FC in tough spots all evening with a club high seven final third entries and four chances created.
Racing Louisville FC forward Kayla Fischer: Fischer has become a consistent threat atop Louisville’s attack with five goals since the midseason break. Last Friday, she found the back of the net in her club’s loss to Gotham FC, pulling Louisville level after going down a goal early. Her offensive contributions were a major piece in the club’s four-match win streak in August, with three goals during that stretch.

KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
Ebbs and flows have defined the second half of the season for Louisville. The Kentucky club visits the Bay Area on a tough run of form, having suffered four straight defeats. Last week, the club showed fight against a high-flying Gotham FC side, coming back from a goal down to equalize in the first half, but fell 2-1 at home to the defending champions. Two of four games in its tough stretch have been decided by late game winners by opponents in the final ten minutes.
Prior to Aug. 23, Louisville had assembled its best stretch of the season, winning four in a row and going unbeaten in six of seven games. Its four-match stretch from Aug. 1 to Aug. 19 saw the club record the second most goals (11) and concede the third fewest (4) relative to the rest of the league. Wins over Seattle and Orlando in that run shook up what’s become a tight playoff race, with five teams separated by three points from fifth to ninth place in the standings.
HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY
Bay FC is unbeaten against Louisville all-time, with four wins and one draw across five meetings. Its four victories stand as the club’s most against any opponent all-time, as does its +5 scoring differential. Sunday marks the first contest between the two at PayPal Park since Week 2 of the 2025 season, a 2-0 victory favoring Bay FC, and this season’s matchup in Louisville ended Bay FC’s way in a 2-0 result July 10 from Lynn Family Stadium.
AT THE ELEVENTH HOUR
Huff’s equalizing goal Wednesday at Denver earned a spot in the club record books beyond it earning Bay FC a come-from-behind result. Scored in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time, the goal was the latest in club history, with the previous mark being Racheal Kundananji‘s tally in the third minute of second half stoppage time on March 30, 2024. Huff’s score Wednesday also earned Bay FC its first-ever instance of a two-goal comeback to avoid defeat.
ALL-TIME MARK APPROACHING?
Goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz has been arguably the best at her position in the league this season, coming up with big save after big save for Bay FC. Seven stops Wednesday vs. Denver brought her season save total to 98, just two off from 100. Only five goalkeepers in league history have ever recorded 100 saves in a single season, and the all-time league record for saves in a single season of 113 is well in sight with six matches remaining in 2026.
