Janelle LaSalle from the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Company will perform the national anthem before kickoff.

Pre-Match & Halftime
In honor of Black heritage, FanFest will feature local community partners and special guest emcee RyanNicole. Members of the Divine Nine will rep their letters and bring the energy as they stroll through, while local organizations from each chapter in the Divine Nine and Justice Vanguard will share their impact within the community. Enjoy activities like shooting at an inflatable goal, giveaways, and visit the food trucks on site.
Janelle LaSalle from the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Company will sing the national anthem and Oakland-based vocalist, songwriter, and educator PHER will follow.
During halftime, the Emmanuel Baptist Church of San Jose will perform acapella. We will honor Bay FC midfielder and Lauren Holiday Impact Award nominee Hannah Bebar for her work with the Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative (BAWSI).
What to Watch on the Pitch
After two road matches, Bay FC returns home as it hosts Houston Dash at PayPal Park on Sunday, August 23. The clubs met just last month when Houston gave Bay FC a heartbreaking 1‑0 defeat. Since then, Houston saw 1 win, 1 draw, and 1 loss. Bay FC’s results were less favorable with 1 draw and 3 losses. Fortunately, the club’s all-time scorer Racheal Kundananji will return from playing with the Zambian national team, while the team has acquired two new players, Jenna Nighswonger and Agostina Holzheier, to add to the mix.

Here’s what’s planned at FanFest:
- Black Heritage: FanFest will feature special guest emcee RyanNicole and members of the Divine Nine repping their letters on their stroll through, while local organizations from Divine Nine chapters and Justice Vanguard will share their impact within the community.
