Bay FC was well represented on the global stage at the 2026 SheBelieves Cup. After starting the tournament with three players competing for two nations in one of the premier annual events in women’s international soccer, a fourth was added when Bay FC acquired Argentinian captain Aldama Cometti via transfer from French Première Ligue club FC Fleury just moments before Wednesday’s SheBelieves Cup action kicked off.
One of Argentina’s most decorated senior footballers of all-time, Cometti competed against new Bay FC teammates Claire Hutton (United States), Sydney Collins (Canada) and Brooklyn Courtnall (Canada) at this week’s SheBelieves Cup.

The United States Women’s National Team capped off a perfect run at the SheBelieves Cup on Saturday, defeating Colombia women’s national football team 1–0 to secure the tournament title. The match was a physical and tightly contested affair, with Colombia creating several first-half chances despite the U.S. holding the majority of possession. United States 1, Canada 0 – Hutton Starts in Victory Over Bay FC Teammates
Midfielder Claire Hutton started and played 79 minutes for the United States, helping the Americans control much of the match before a 55th-minute strike from Ally Sentnor secured a 1–0 victory. On the Canadian side, defender Sydney Collins earned the start and played 87 minutes, helping keep the match close despite the U.S. holding an 18-6 advantage in shots. Brooklyn Courtnall, meanwhile, didn’t enter the match after earning her first international cap in the SheBelieves Cup opener on Sunday.

United States 2, Argentina 0 – Hutton Logs Key Minutes Off the Bench
The United States opened tournament play with a 2–0 victory over Argentina on Sunday in Nashville. Claire Hutton entered at halftime and played the entire second half, logging 45 composed minutes in midfield.
The 20-year-old continues her rapid rise at the international level. A 2025 NWSL Best XI First Team honoree with Kansas City before being acquired by Bay FC last month, Hutton recently made history as the youngest player to captain the U.S. Women’s National Team in the modern era and has quickly become a trusted midfield option for USWNT Head Coach Emma Hayes.

Canada 4, Colombia 1 – Collins Scores First International Goal, Courtnall Earns First Cap
Canada delivered a commanding 4–1 win over Colombia in its opening SheBelieves Cup match on Sunday, and Bay FC played a starring role.
Sydney Collins scored her first international goal, heading home a rebound in the second half to cap an impressive performance. The goal marked a milestone moment for the defender in her third call-up since joining Bay FC last season.
Brooklyn Courtnall also made history, earning her first senior international cap. The appearance marked her first national team selection since 2022 and her debut at the senior level. Both Collins and Courtnall came on as second-half substitutes, contributing to Canada’s dominant result.
Collins previously helped Canada qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics, earning six caps in 2023, and continues to build on her international experience.
After competing on the international stage at the SheBelieves Cup, Claire Hutton, Sydney Collins, Brooklyn Courtnall and Aldana Cometti will re-join their Bay FC teammates as the club continues its preparations for the 2026 home opener on March 14 against expansion side Denver Summit FC (Buy Tickets).
