Bay FC’s ongoing partnership with Design FC continued on Thursday, Oct. 15 when midfielder Kennedy Fuller and members of Bay FC’s creative and content teams met with students at Emerson Elementary School in Oakland to kick off a new after-school program. This nonprofit uses soccer and design to empower young people through custom kit projects and hands‑on workshops.
Bay FC staff discussed the club’s branding and jersey design processes, showing the class a peek behind the curtain at creative careers within the world of professional sports. These fourth- and fifth-graders then applied these learnings and drew inspiration from their own identities and communities to design their own jerseys with guidance from Bay FC employees. The students will receive completed journeys of their own as part of the program.
