Coming off a 2-2 draw against Denver Summit FC on Wednesday and a 2-0 win over Racing Louisville FC on Sunday, Bay FC has earned three nominations for the NWSL’s weekly awards.
Save of the Week
Goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz is once again being considered for Save of the Week for her 45th minute save against Denver. She finished the game with seven saves and kept her team in the match long enough to put together a dramatic comeback. Moreover, following Sunday’s match, she secured her seventh clean sheet of the season after making two saves and became the sixth player in the league to reach 100 saves in a season. Midfielder Taylor Huff has scored two nominations with the first for Goal of the Week at the midweek match in the Mile High City. With Bay FC down two goals in the second half, Huff came through to make the match-tying goal in the second half stoppage time (90’ + 5) – right through the goalkeeper’s legs. This was also her second scoring contribution of the game after assisting Claire Hutton’s goal in the 73rd minute. Relive the moment and vote for her below:
