After Bay FC overcame a two-goal deficit, Seattle put in the game-winner off the foot of Jess Fishlock in the 85th minute to hand Bay FC a 3-2 defeat on Saturday evening at PayPal Park. After early Seattle goals from Mia Fishel and Maddie Dahlien had Bay FC trailing 2-0 10 minutes into the match, Hannah Bebar put Bay FC on the board in the 13th minute with a powerful strike for her first career NWSL goal. Dorian Bailey scored what was thought to be the equalizer 10 minutes later but the goal was overturned after video review, the second straight match in which a VAR decision nullified a potential game-tying score for Bay FC. After going into halftime down 2-1, Keira Barry tied the match in the 75th minute off a set piece that was assisted by Bebar. While Seattle didn’t have many chances in the second half, they converted a transition opportunity when it mattered most, handing Bay its third consecutive one-goal defeat.
