Bay FC Loan Forward Onyeka Gamero to USL Super League Club Dallas Trinity FC through 2026

SAN JOSE, Calif. (Aug. 12, 2026) – Bay FC announced today that the club has agreed to loan forward Onyeka Gamero to USL Super League club Dallas Trinity FC. Gamero will join Dallas for the remainder of 2026 calendar year.

“Onyeka is an exciting young player with lots of potential who is part of our long-term plans,” said head coach Emma Coates. “The priority right now is meaningful minutes, so this loan to Dallas Trinity proves valuable for all. I’m looking forward to seeing how this accelerates her development over the coming months, and we will be following her growth intently.”

Gamero has appeared in five matches with Bay FC in 2026, logging 92 minutes. She made her club debut March 28 at North Carolina in a 3-1 win, her first competitive action since returning from a knee injury suffered in 2023. She joined the club via transfer from FC Barcelona B in July 2025.

The 2023 U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year nominee has appeared for the U.S. U-20 squad throughout 2026, returning to international competition in February as the squad began its preparations for this year’s U-20 World Cup. She appeared in each of the U-20 squad’s matches earlier this month against England and Colombia as it convened for training and friendlies in Fayetteville, Ga. From July 5 to 12.

Bay FC continues its two-match road stretch next Friday, as the club visits the Utah Royals in Sandy, Utah, August 14. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT, and the match will broadcast live on NWSL+. The club returns home Sunday, August 23, when the Houston Dash visit the Bay Area for the club’s Black Heritage Match. Tickets remain available at BayFC.com/tickets.
