Bay FC Loan Defender Brooklyn Courtnall to San Diego Wave FC Through Remainder of 2026 Season

SAN JOSE, Calif. (July 31, 2026) – Bay FC announced today that the club has agreed to loan defender Brooklyn Courtnall to San Diego Wave FC for the remainder of 2026. Courtnall will join the SoCal club immediately.

“Brooklyn is a talented defender with a bright future,” said head coach Emma Coates. “This loan to San Diego gives her an important opportunity to continue competing, developing, and gaining valuable experience through the end of the season. She remains an important part of our long-term plans, and we look forward to welcoming her back after the season as she continues her journey with the club.”

Courtnall joined Bay FC via transfer from the North Carolina Courage ahead of the 2026 season after finishing 2025 with Bay FC on loan. She’s tallied 11 appearances (seven starts) with the club, recording 745 minutes. She’s appeared in 18 games with Bay FC since her mid-season acquisition in 2025. She made her senior international debut in March at the 2026 SheBelieves Cup, joining Canada as it took on Colombia, Argentina, and the United States and logging 99 minutes across two appearances.

Bay FC closes out a busy stretch of three matches in eight days this week, welcoming Seattle Reign FC to the Bay Area Saturday, August 1. Tickets are available at BayFC.com/tickets.
