Although on an international break, Bay FC stayed busy throughout June during the NWSL regular season pause. From global call-ups to community moments here at home, the club continued to show up, on and off the pitch.
Domestic and International Play Commences
Bay FC talent took the global stage, representing both the United States and their home countries in international competition. On the domestic front, several players earned U.S. National Team call-ups:
- Midfielder Claire Hutton played with the U.S. Women’s National Team in Brazil
- Goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz appeared with the U-23 squad in Brazil
- Forward Onyeka Gamero joined the U-20 team in Spain in friendlies against France
Across the world, Bay FC players brought their game home:
- Defender Aldana Cometti helped Argentina finish second in the CONMEBOL Nations League and secure a spot in the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup
- Defender Sydney Collins was selected to the Canadian National Team for the third time this year
- Forward Cristiana Girelli competed for Italy against Serbia and Sweden
- Forward Racheal Kundananji led Zambia to the Four Nations Tournament title
No matter the jersey, Bay FC players made their mark on the international stage.
Bay FC at Home
While some players competed abroad, others made an impact right here in the Bay. They:

What’s coming up in July
After a busy break, Bay FC will return with a full schedule of matches in July.
Sun, Jul 5 at 9:00 am PT at Boston Legacy FC
On Sunday, July 5, Bay FC travels to face Boston Legacy FC at Centreville Bank Stadium. The match marks the second and final regular-season meeting between the two sides this year. In their first matchup in May, Dorian Bailey netted her second score of the season to help Bay secure a 1-1 draw.
Since they played, Boston signed defender Deja Davis, a Montclair, N.J. native, as a free agent, who most recently represented Paris FC in 65 appearances. She’s never played in the NWSL, so it will be interesting to see how her skills have that je ne sais quoi to translate domestically. With Boston Legacy FC at #14 and Bay FC at #13 in the NWSL regular season standings, this is poised to be an exciting match as well as the first featuring Bay FC’s newest midfielder Kennedy Fuller.

Fri, Jul 10 at 5:00 pm PT at Racing Louisville FC
Bay FC and Racing Louisville FC compete for the first time this season on Friday, July 10 at Lynn Family Stadium. Historically, Bay FC has held the edge in the matchup, winning three of the four previous meetings. Racing Louisville claimed a 1-0 victory in November, setting the stage for a competitive game this season.
Racing Louisville enters the match with a 2-8-1 record, currently sitting 16th in the NWSL standings. The club recently re-signed goalkeeper Maddie Prohaska, who continues to grow into her role both on the field and as part of the team’s leadership group. Friday’s match also marks Ali Night, honoring Louisville legend Muhammad Ali. Let’s see if the teams channel his energy as they float and sting across the field.
Sat, Jul 18 at 1:00 pm PT vs. North Carolina Courage
The summer of soccer continues as Bay FC returns to PayPal Park to host the North Carolina Courage on Saturday, July 18 in a match presented by Trader Joe’s. The last time these teams met in March, Bay FC delivered a strong performance in Cary, N.C., scoring a season-high three goals in the first half of a 3-1 win. Forward Alex Pfeiffer played a key role, recording a goal and an assist, one of two times she’s achieved that combination this season.
Most recently, the Courage has seen five players called up for international play, along with contract extensions for midfielder Shinomi Koyama and defender Ivy Younce. Since joining the club in 2025, Koyama has made 36 appearances, contributing three goals and three assists. Younce has also made an impact this season, helping the team secure three wins across four matches. The club is #7 in the NWSL standings with 5 wins, 3 losses, and 3 draws.

Fri, Jul 24 at 5:00 pm PT at Houston Dash
On Friday, July 24, Bay FC will face Houston Dash at Shell Energy Stadium. This matchup has developed into one of the club’s most compelling rivalries. Bay FC made history in its inaugural home meeting with Houston in March 2024, setting the tone for a competitive series. Later that season, forward Racheal Kundananji recorded the first brace in club history against the Dash. Bay FC would go on to secure its 11th franchise win against Houston, clinching an NWSL playoff berth in its inaugural season. The rivalry carried into 2025, with the teams playing consecutive 2‑2 draws.
Houston signed forward Miljana Ivanović, a Serbian native who joins from Sweden’s Malmö FF. Ivanović has played with several European teams, most recently scoring nine goals in 23 appearances for the Swedish club. With Houston sitting 11th in the standings at 4-6-2 and Bay FC close behind at 13th, this sets up a competitive match between two sides looking to gain ground.

On Wednesday, July 29, Bay FC hosts reigning NWSL champions Gotham FC at PayPal Park for the club’s first-ever Hip Hop Night. The evening will feature a special halftime performance by Mistah F.A.B., along with classic lowriders, live DJs, breakdancing, and more. On the pitch, Bay FC closes out its season series with Gotham FC. In their first meeting back in April, Bay fell 3-0 in New Jersey, though goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz delivered a standout performance, tying a club record with 12 saves.
Gotham FC’s offensive lineup has been shaken up recently, with two-time NWSL champion forward Katie Lampson announcing her retirement and forward Sam Kerr returning stateside following a stint with Chelsea FC. Gotham FC currently sits at #5 in the NWSL standings with 6 wins, 2 losses, and 3 draws. With Bay FC bringing its hometown energy into the stadium, this sets up a compelling match between the cross-country teams looking to close out the series on a high note.
