SAN JOSE, Calif. (July 31, 2026) – Bay FC closes out its multi-game matchweek Saturday with an all West Coast contest vs. Seattle Reign FC. The squad’s second straight at home is set to kick off at 5:45 p.m. PT, and will broadcast on ION as the nightcap of an NWSL doubleheader. Tickets remain available at BayFC.com/tickets.
Bay FC will look to rebound from a pair of tight defeats in its two matches prior. Each coming on a 1-0 scoreline, the club suffered a heartbreaker from a late goal by its opponent in Houston July 24 before defending NWSL champions Gotham FC took three points Wednesday by the same difference. Bay FC showed well against the New Jerseyan club, but a 7th minute equalizer taken off the board by video review helped the scoreline hold. Seattle visits the Bay Area in strong form with six goals and two wins in its last three matches, below the playoff line only by tiebreaker.
Players to Watch
Bay FC midfielder Kennedy Fuller: Fuller has been stellar since joining Bay FC from Angel City in June. She scored what looked to be an equalizer for her club Wednesday before VAR took her second goal in a Bay FC shirt off the board. She’s been crucial to the club’s build-up play in recent weeks, recording 10 chances created, tied for fourth in the league since the resumption of play July 3.
Seattle Reign FC forward Maddie Mercado: Mercado has tallied a goal in each of her last three matches, leading an in-form Seattle attacking unit. Her scoring streak has made her Seattle’s leading scorer this season, and the club has lost only once when she has found the back of the net.

Know Your Opponent
Seattle has traded wins and losses in each of the last four weeks but nonetheless has seven goals and two shutouts in that span. The club visits the Bay Area off a strong 2-0 victory at San Diego, where two scores in three minutes early on proved to be the difference. The club has experienced some ups and downs defensively, allowing three scores late to Gotham FC in its July 18 trip east, as well as in its first match back from the break July 4.
The Reign attacking unit has proven capable of threatening from all areas of the pitch throughout the season. Entering Week 15, 11 different players have scored at least once for the club, the highest tally in the league. Midfielder Ainsley McCammon and defender Sofia Huerta have dished out the majority of the opportunities, combining for seven assists.
Silky’s Got Saves
Bay FC goalkeeper Jordan’s Silkowitz tallied nine saves Wednesday night vs. Gotham FC, her second-highest single match total this season and the second highest in a single match in her career. The performance put her back to the top of the league rankings, tied with Houston Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell. Silkowitz’s career high also came against Gotham FC, when she recorded a club-record 12 stops in Bay FC’s April 25 trip to New Jersey.
